The quake was felt around 3:00 a.m. in many cities, including: Beer Sheva, Jerusalem, Petah Tikva, Rehovot and more. According to the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Institute (EMSC), the magnitude of the quake was 6.5 and at a depth of 51 kilometers.

The Israel Police said: “A magnitude 6.4 earthquake occurred recently in the Cyprus area. The quake was felt in various areas around the country. Dozens of calls were recorded at 100 hotspots. There is no tsunami alert.”

The last earthquake felt in Israel was about two weeks ago, as a result of an earthquake that occurred on the island of Crete in Greece, with a magnitude of 5.6.
