On July 12, in fact, the Regulatory Authority for Audiovisual and Digital Communication (Arcom) signed an agreement – ​​the text which sets out its regulatory commitments – with “the chain that makes Macron tremble”, as proclaimed in a promotional film broadcast on the networks. Far from being able to compete with continuous news channels, it will not be accessible on DTT, but on connected televisions and Internet boxes. At this stage, only the Free operator (6 million connected homes) has committed to offering it on channel 350.

Anti-racist struggles, defense of minorities and workers, fights against homophobia, presenter wearing the veil (Nadiya Lazzouni): The Media is resolutely close to the radical left. “We will bring a voice focused on the left, but pluralist”, promises journalist Cemil Sanli. The editor-in-chief, Théophile Kouamouo, claims the ecumenism of Media, and cites the diversity of political figures invited on the air, from the ecofeminist deputy Sandrine Rousseau, to the representatives of the Trotskyist party Permanent Revolution, including Guilhem Carayon, former president of the Young Republicans.
