The Azerbaijani authorities confirmed a ceasefire agreement from this Wednesday, September 20 in the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh and the holding of first talks on Thursday on the reintegration of this disputed territory with Armenia.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry announced, in the wake of the separatists, that the Karabakh forces will be disarmed and that a truce was to come into effect at 9 a.m. The presidency confirmed the holding of negotiations on Thursday in the Azerbaijani town of Yevlakh, less than 24 hours after launching a major military operation to retake this region which had escaped its control for more than thirty years.
