Vadakara: Clashes broke out in Vadakara between SFI activists and locals who called for a strike in protest of Dheeraj’s murder. The clash took place at Vadakara MUM Higher Secondary School on Tuesday morning.
The SFI has called for a strike, but classes have been held in schools. Activists were organizing when they came to know that classes were going on. The incident took place when the school authorities informed him that he would not leave the class. With this, the locals also intervened in the matter. The scene was calmed down by the police throwing lathi. Fifteen SFI activists were also taken into police custody.
Police are camping in the area. The SFI staged a demonstration in Vadakara to protest the incident.
