A persistent malfunction in Pepper resulted in non-transfer of salaries to the account

Pepper’s customers, the digital bank from Bank Leumi, have been having a problem with the bank’s application since yesterday (Monday). Complaints received by Globes and complaints posted on Pepper’s official Facebook page indicate that the malfunctions impair the ability to transfer funds from Pepper’s accounts to other accounts and that salaries that were supposed to be deposited on the 10th of the month were not updated in the accounts.

Most of the complaints revolve around updating the salaries of Pepper customers. “I am self-employed, and yesterday I had to transfer wages to my employees. The clearing company I work with told me that the money was transferred from her, but it did not reach my account,” one of the clients told Globes. At the same time, the credit card company charged it as usual, and the charge was actually updated in its account.

. “You get a busy sound. You can’t write a post for them on the Facebook page either. I went into the last post they uploaded, and I realized that the problem is not just with me,” Pepper explained.

While the customer understands that malfunctions can occur, she is angry that Pepper did not update the customers on the malfunction. “I wrote them a response to their Facebook post, and they did not respond to me,” she says. “They did not call. They simply said that the fault had been repaired, but it continued. From such a large bank, which is a branch of Leumi, I would expect them to provide clarity that they are working to repair the fault, even if they do not give an exact forecast,” the account holder adds.

She noted that she has been a Pepper customer for more than a year and even recommended customers to the bank. “My facts understand me, and I have a private bank account through which I can pay them so as not to squander their wages. But I also have suppliers to pay them,” she explained.

As mentioned, many more complaints were collected on both Facebook’s and Pepper’s Instagram account. Some of the applicants stated that since their salary was not transferred to the account due to the malfunction, they even received a notification from the bank that their standing order had been canceled, after there was not enough money left in their current account to cover the charge. The customer’s credit, which may hurt him down the road when applying for loans.

“It’s just a hallucination that’s been 24 hours since the start of the incident, and not being notified of anything, leaving us hanging in the air with no salaries and no explanations. Just shocking,” wrote a complainant, noting that she intends to leave. “I’m shocking you! You do not put in money that comes in from suppliers,” another wrote.

Pepper responded: “There is a point fault in Pepper that causes difficulties in transfers entering the account of some of the customers. We are working to rectify the fault soon and apologize for the temporary inconvenience.”
