Burkina: The Ministry of Housing now involved in the entire construction chain of public works #AIB
Ouagadougou, September 20, 2023 (AIB) – The Burkinabe government adopted a draft decree on Wednesday, which will now allow the Ministry of Housing to be involved in all links in the chain of construction of public works.
“On behalf of the Ministry of Urban Planning, Land Affairs and Housing, the Executive adopted a draft decree setting out the terms of recourse to the Ministry in charge of construction and architecture, for the construction of public works.
According to Minister Mikaïlou SIDIBE, the adoption of this decree will allow his department to be involved from start to finish in the construction chain in order to ensure that public infrastructure will be built according to quality standards. »
He added that this draft decree was adopted to correct the inadequacies observed in the construction of buildings and public works.
