Edited – Would the Elysée have launched a series entitled The con-permanent dinner ? New MGM, or Macron-Goldwyn-Mayer? Has the executive transformed itself into the producer of a telenovela, having for this purpose been renamed the CNC (National Cinema Center) “National Center of Con-descendance”?

Not content with a series of infantilizing speeches, and unfortunately for the image of France and for the institution itself, everything suggests that the Presidency of the Republic has integrated the entertainment society full time, most often on the airwaves of a public service financed by the French (at a loss and/or for their loss?).

The scenario of this “dinner of permanent cronies” or “accomprees-manants” could not be simpler: Emmanuel Macron is systematically the star guest (1). At each of his public appearances (July 14 parade, May 8 parade, etc.), our Jacques Villeret on duty is booed, jeered, whistled. The trailer for the current season, the highlight of the show, will undoubtedly have been planted during his opening speech to the Rugby World Cup on September 8. And what about the sumptuous staging at Versailles on the occasion of a grand dinner in honor of King Charles III. Blue lobster is on the menu while the French have to tighten their belts and gasoline distributors are encouraged to sell at a loss (quickly refused by Alexandre Bompart, CEO of Carrefour and Patrick Pouyané CEO of TotalEnergie).

Like a François Pignon in Jupiterian orbit, Emmanuel Macron is also the main guest at dinners organized by his foreign counterparts. In particular these puppet leaders, or “house negroes” (2), which Françafrique has regularly placed at the head of banana republics for decades. But there are still fewer and fewer of them accepting the control of private French interests over their countries under the guise of “cultural influence”. Still complacent, until recently, despite an image of the presidential office already very clearly degraded by Nicolas Sarkozy and François Hollande, these African puppets continued to polish the pomp of their French counterparts, if not with a certain respect, at least with a certain respect.

But since Emmanuel Macron has exercised the supreme office, these gentlemen have been laughing at him, like the characters played by Thierry Lhermitte and Daniel Prévost in The idiots’ dinner. And this is both logical, legitimate and perfectly understandable.

Emmanuel Macron indeed shows incredible arrogance, complacency and contempt towards African leaders, prince of the “con-descendants” of a neocolonialist, paternalist, slave-owning and racist France of which no one anymore does not want.

And this idiosyncrasy of those who suffer from a form of superiority complex taken to the extreme, the President also provides a good example with regard to the limitation to two successive mandates provided for by our Constitution for the head of state.

Of course, since this ban sounds the death knell for celebrations at the end of his current mandate!

However, this “unfinished child” is excessively capricious. (3) cannot accept that the end of recess is meant to him.

They say that the worst contempt is to remain silent.

So okay, it’s decided: I’m no longer going to talk about Emmanuel Macron in my editorials… until the next dinner time!

(1) Very bad actor that he is. His drama teacher is apparently very angry. The writers of the series are apparently considering a reversal of roles for the 2027 season: the current First Lady would take the lead role and the current Head of State would be confined to the role of First Man. The next episodes could therefore be promising!

(2) This pejorative expression was invented by Malcolm X. It originally referred to members of the black American community who legitimized or joined the positions of white power.

(3) There, it is Philippe de Villiers who speaks, his full name Philippe Le Jolis de Villiers de Saintignon.
