INFO FIGARO – The captain of the Blues will undergo surgery this Friday in Toulouse. A decision which would not compromise any hope of seeing him return by the end of the World Cup.
According to our information, Professor Frédéric Lauwers took the decision to operate on the captain of the French XV who suffered a maxillo-zygomatic fracture on Thursday evening during the match against Namibia. Antoine Dupont will be operated on this Friday at Purpan hospital, in Toulouse, by this specialist in maxillofacial surgery.
This intervention does not necessarily compromise the chances of the captain of the XV of France to participate at the end of the World Cup. A (slim) hope of seeing him return for the possible semi-finals, or even the final, remains.
