The clash between Prime Minister Naftali Bennett and Coalition Chairman Benjamin Netanyahu has become routine. Tonight (Tuesday), the two continued to attack each other, when this time, at the center of attention, was a video published by Netanyahu mocking government policy on the spread of the Omicron strain.
In the video, Netanyahu talks to one of his advisers, Topaz Locke, when he talks about the home antigen tests, which are alleged to have not detected the omicron virus. At the climax of the video, Netanyahu tosses a coin and tells Topaz that following the coin’s decision, he is stuck in Corona.
Bennett responded to the video after it was released, at a press conference held to explain to the governments about the omicron, saying: “Nothing that Netanyahu will do will surprise me. I have seen a video of him eroding public confidence in the antigen. “Anti-patriotic, disrupted public trust. PCR answers the question of whether or not you carry the virus. The antigen answers the question of whether you are currently infected or not.”
Later in the press conference, Bennett once again hinted at Netanyahu’s conduct and claimed: “We are in a situation that happens once in an era and we manage it in a considered and responsible manner. There are a number of chaos generators here who want to instill in everyone an unjustified hysterical feeling.”

Immediately after the press conference, the Likud party responded to Bennett’s remarks: “Naftali lost control of the corona, abandoned the citizens of Israel to their fate and sent them to buy at their own home tests that the laboratories determined were unreliable. “Free for all Israeli citizens and without endless queues. Naftali also abandoned the business owners and the self-employed while we provided generous assistance that saved the businesses and the self-employed from bankruptcy and boosted the Israeli economy despite the corona crisis.
