The law does not provide exceptions: the customer has the right to pay by card even in the case of small amounts (but since it is a restaurant, this does not seem to be the case for him anyway). The only case in which the merchant can request payment in cash is that of objective technical impossibility, for example a line interruption that makes the POS unusable.
