The attendance of spectators at movie theaters in the Basque Country has increased by 46% so far this year compared to 2022, which allows us to get closer to the figures prior to the covid-19 pandemic. This growth was attributed, among other factors, to the success of productions such as ‘Irati’ and ‘20,000 Spices of Bees’, and also to other films such as ‘The Good Companies’, ‘Gelditasuna Ekaitzean’ and ‘To Books and Women I Cant’. ‘, which also brought a good number of spectators to the theaters.
In fact, ‘Irati’ was the third most viewed film during that period in the Basque Country with more than 90,000 viewers, only behind ‘Avatar: The Sense of Water’ and ‘Super Mario Bros. The Movie’.
