The Mobile Vaccine Day will take place this weekend in zones 7 and 18 of the capital, complying with the policy of bringing services to the population that cannot go to the country’s health centers and posts.
The hours of operation will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24, according to the Departmental Directorate of Comprehensive Health Services Networks, of the Central Area.
The mobile units will be located at the following addresses:
• 11 avenue “A” and 11 street, Castillo Lara neighborhood, zone 7
• Residenciales Pinares del Norte, 6 calle 6-43, zone 18, next to the Family Pantry
• Block 5, main street of the Juana de Arco neighborhood, zone 18
The authorities asked Guatemalans to come with their immunization card for the corresponding control and which will allow progress in care.

Those interested will receive attention from health personnel in the following services:
• General medical consultation
• Vaccination for children, pregnant women and adults
• Reproductive health
• Oral health
• Mental health
• Vitamin delivery
• Dewormers
• Hisopados
• Canine rabies vaccination

The Directorate of Epidemiology and Risk Management of the Ministry of Health reiterated to the Guatemalan population that if they suspect dengue symptoms, they should go to the nearest health service and avoid self-medication.
The symptoms are fever, headache, joint pain and pain behind the eyes, among others. “Early and timely care is vital to avoid becoming seriously ill,” they insisted.

Until September 9, 20,137 cases of dengue were reported, with the highest incidence in the departments of Zacapa, Chiquimula and Suchitepéquez. There are 42 cases of severe dengue, of which 34 have died.
In addition, 15 cases of chikungunya and 14 of Zika were confirmed.
