San Salvador. Within the framework of the capital’s road recovery, the municipal authorities headed by the mayor, Mario Durán, announced the next tender for the total repair of the city’s streets.

Through the “San Salvador without Potholes” plan, works will be tendered for an amount of $10 million, the building chief said this Wednesday.

According to Durán, 38 high-traffic streets have already been renovated in district zone 4, and 50% more coverage than initially projected is reported.

I added that currently, the second phase of the plan is being implemented in Districts 2, 4 and 5 of the capital, which contemplates the recovery of 25 km of streets, for which the municipality has allocated $5 million of its own funds for these works and registers that more than 61% of the prioritized areas have already been intervened.

In the first phase of the “San Salvador without Potholes” plan, streets in emblematic neighborhoods such as Atlacatl, Monserrat and Miramonte were intervened, which benefits not only the residents of those areas but also the owners of commercial establishments and the drivers who travel daily. through those routes.

The capital commune is committed to improving vehicular traffic in the city, avoiding damage to vehicles, preventing road incidents and protecting the lives of motorists and pedestrians, highlighted the municipal mayor.
