“I was never passionate about school. Classes were hell! » Lilian Bruneau, entrepreneur from Loire Valley and high-level athlete, has painful memories of school. And for good reason, in 5th grade he was identified as dyscalculic. “I have a logical-mathematical disorder. I never understood what was explained to me in math,” he remembers. However, endowed with great intellectual skills, he obtained an economic baccalaureate at the Beaugency high school. “My mother absolutely wanted me to study, so I took the professional route and obtained a BTS in mechanics at the Lycée Maréchal Leclerc de Hautecloque in Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle because everything that has a engine thrills me! »

“We left without a euro in our pocket! »

And what also makes him tick is entrepreneurship. Now aged 24, he is the head of several companies. “Being an entrepreneur means the freedom to implement whatever comes to mind! » But he is not alone in this entrepreneurial adventure, since he never separates from his partner Cyprien Cassedanne, aged 26. They met in 2016 and very quickly they decided to get started. They first created a company selling DIY materials and tools and a YouTube channel, which has now been sold. And because Cyprien holds a pilot’s license, they decide to create a recreational plane pilot school, Cap Aeroat the Toussus-le-Noble aerodrome, in Yvelines.

“We left without a euro in our pocket! laughs Cyprien Cassedanne. We didn’t go to HEC but being in aeronautics gives us legitimacy and a network. Today Cap Aero has one full-time employee and six subcontractors. » Not content with this success, the two friends, who became friends, decided to set up a holding company, Cap Group, in order to offer a complete service. They have purchased their first plane and intend to continue their investments. “We want to optimize the process by reducing operating costs, control the production and operation chain, ensure maintenance and depreciation of the aircraft,” explains Cyprien.

To achieve this objective, the partners created Cap Loc for the purchase/resale and rental of aircraft and three other entities are currently being built: Cap Jet, a private jet company, Cap Maintenance for maintenance and aircraft maintenance, and Cap T238, for the rehabilitation of a hangar in order to build a reception hall and a terminal. “We want impeccable customer service. Ultimately, we want to set up a complete chain from training to hiring,” enthuses Lilian Bruneau, all of whose companies are based in her birthplace, in Mézières-Lez-Cléry, in the Loiret.

His other challenge: qualifying for the BMX World Cup

But since her childhood, Lilian has had another passion. “When I was three, my grandfather put me on a bike, and I’ve never stopped riding it since! » His specialty will be BMX. In a club for around ten years, then at a high level from 2016. But in 2019, he stopped, a “fed up” situation which lasted more than two years. But the passion is too strong and he takes the helm again in 2021. Regional champion (Centre-Val de Loire) two years in a row, in 2022 he is selected for the European Cup, which took place in Portugal on the 2nd and September 3, 2023. He climbs onto the third step of the podium, amateur level. His next sporting challenge: qualifying for the World Cup next year in Rock Hill, United States.

In the meantime, many other projects are teeming in the heads of the two friends who say they “work like twins”. They began negotiations for the purchase of a helicopter pilot school. They want to invest in social networks by launching online channels. And last spring, they acquired a power generation and energy storage company. Happy with their journey, they do not minimize the efforts: “We made a lot of mistakes which cost us money, but it is by making mistakes that we learn! »
