Capcom Reveals Pricing for Resident Evil 4 Remake on iPhone 15 Pro: $60 and Universal Purchase Support

by time news

Capcom quietly revealed that the upcoming Resident Evil 4 Remake for iPhone 15 Pro will come with a hefty price tag of $60. The pricing details were spotted on the game’s App Store page, tucked away under the “In-App Purchases” section.

The listing showcased a drop-down menu that displayed all the in-app purchases available for the game, with the base game itself retailing for $59.99. This price aligns with the debut price of the PC and console versions of Resident Evil 4 when they were released earlier this year.

Apple has been promoting the iPhone 15 Pro as a smartphone capable of delivering console-quality gaming experiences, thanks to its powerful A17 Pro chip. With the high price, Capcom seems to be targeting gamers who are willing to invest in a premium mobile gaming experience.

One positive aspect is that Resident Evil 4 will support universal purchase, meaning that if players buy the game for their iPhone 15 Pro, they can also play it on their iPad or Mac equipped with an M1 chip or newer without having to purchase it again.

The screenshots from the upcoming port of Resident Evil 4 reveal that the game will have touch controls. However, Capcom recommends using a controller, such as the Backbone, for the best experience.

Although the release date for Resident Evil 4 for iPhone 15 Pro has not been announced yet, Capcom has stated that it will be available later this year. Additionally, Capcom announced that the iPhone 15 Pro version of Resident Evil Village will be released on October 30th for a price of $39.99.

With these announcements, Capcom is continuing its focus on bringing popular titles to Apple’s devices, catering to gamers who want to enjoy console-quality games on the go.
