International Youth Mathematics and Science Olympiad (IMSO)
This is the most prestigious competition for students aged 11-12 with the participation of about 400 students from 23 countries competing in 2 contents: Math and Science (Physics; Chemistry; Biology). Candidates taking the Math exam will have 3 parts: Multiple choice writing test (25 problems/60 minutes); Essay (13 lessons/90 minutes) and Discovery (6 lessons/120 minutes). Each hosting country must spend all funds to sponsor at least 12 official contestants from each participating country.
Vietnam began participating in IMSO in 2014. In 2016, the Ministry of Education and Training officially recognized this exam and allowed the organization of 2 rounds to establish a team to represent Vietnam to compete in IMSO. As a result, the Math team ranked first with 7 gold, 2 silver and 3 bronze.
Asia-Pacific Mathematics Olympiad (APMOPS)
APMOPS exam is organized by Singapore’s oldest and most prestigious Hwa Chong Academy for students aged 11-12 in 2 rounds. Round 1 of the competition was held in 13 countries. After round 1, excellent students will have all accommodation and travel expenses covered by the Organizing Committee to participate in round 2 in Singapore.

TIMO International Mathematics Olympiad
