Praest. The campaign for the Emmerich Tafel in Praest was a success. The donation pig was fed plenty. This proud value of goods has been achieved.
The collection campaign for the Emmericher Tafel on Saturday, September 23rd at the RSV Praest clubhouse was a complete success. Peter Ising, Initiator and local club chairman CDU: “We are overwhelmed by how many people have supported us and brought food and drugstore items. Many people also donated money with which the food bank can buy the missing things.”
From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., many Praesters and others found their way to the clubhouse to make their contribution to Praest Hilft. The individual rifle platoons filled the donation pig and children brought toys. Boxes kept coming with tins of food, flour, sugar, rice, pasta, long-life milk, but also toothpaste, shower gel and soap. The value of the donated items reached around 10,000 euros.
Emmericher Tafel provided support on site
The Emmericher Tafel supported the team on site all day long. Everything was sorted into boxes, loaded directly and brought to Emmerich. A total of four vans with donations were able to drive to Aldegundisheim Emmerich throughout the day. A company from Neukirchen-Vluyn donated two pallets of dairy products and at the end of the day they were able to count 2000 euros in cash donations.
Mayor Markus Meyer: “You can only be proud of what the clubs and the team have achieved here. Especially in these times, which are not easy for many, it is nice to see that those in need in our city are also being thought of.”
