Prime Minister Modi Highlights the Journey of Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit
AHMEDABAD: Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke at the Global Investors Summit titled ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ and emphasized the three stages of any work, as Swami Vivekananda had once said: “First it is ridiculed, then it meets opposition, and finally, it is accepted.”
Addressing a crowd at the Science City in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi expressed his belief that this successful summit could become a brand for the world. However, to him, it symbolized the unity between himself and the seven crore (70 million) people of Gujarat.
The Prime Minister reflected on Swami Vivekananda’s words about the three stages of every work: being mocked, facing resistance, and ultimately being accepted. He mentioned that 20 years ago, they planted a small seed called Vibrant Gujarat, which has now grown into a thriving tree. Prime Minister Modi expressed his happiness on completing two decades, acknowledging that he might not have much experience as a principal but had immense faith in the people of Gujarat.
In his speech, Prime Minister Modi took a dig at the Congress rule and how they previously associated Gujarat’s development with politics. He mentioned that during the earlier regime, the then Union Minister refused to participate in the summit, which was named Vibrant Gujarat. Despite attempts to intimidate foreign investors and hinder their participation, they still chose to invest in Gujarat. Prime Minister Modi praised their determination and resilience.
The Global Investors Summit was attended by Gujarat Governor, Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, and foreign investors who showed great interest in the potential of Gujarat.
Furthermore, to commemorate 20 years of the Gujarat Global Summit, Prime Minister Modi visited the Robot Exhibition held at the Science City in Ahmedabad. The exhibition aimed to showcase technological advancements and innovations.
