Five People Killed in Shooting Incident in Basmat Tivon
In a tragic incident that occurred at noon on Wednesday, five people lost their lives in a shooting incident in Basmat Tivon, located in the Lower Galilee region. The victims, three men and two women in their 30s, suffered from penetrating injuries and were pronounced dead by MDA medics and paramedics who promptly arrived at the scene.
Ofer Vinik, a paramedic from MDA, expressed the difficulty of the situation, stating, “This is a very difficult incident. There was a lot of commotion there.” He further elaborated on the severity of the injuries, saying, “Six injured people suffered penetrating injuries in their bodies. We immediately started medical tests, unfortunately, three men and two women had no signs of life, and we had to pronounce them dead.”
Among the injured individuals, a 49-year-old man who sustained moderate injuries was transported to the hospital in an MDA intensive care vehicle, indicating the gravity of the incident.
Separately, another tragic incident unfolded earlier today in Haifa, where a resident in his 50s was shot and killed inside a car in the Check Post junction area. Authorities suspect that the crime was motivated by criminal reasons.
In light of these distressing events, law enforcement officials are working diligently to investigate the circumstances surrounding both incidents to bring those responsible to justice and ensure the safety of the community. The exact motives for each incident have yet to be determined.
As the investigation continues, authorities are urging anyone with information related to either incident to come forward and assist in the ongoing efforts to solve these crimes.
