Films inside the barriers at the Stenungsund landslide are currently being shared on Tiktok – even though it is strictly forbidden to enter the area. Something that caused the security company to react.

– The last thing we want is to have to go home to a parent and tell them that their child is no longer there, says guardian Paolo Johansson.

It was during Saturday night that a huge landslide occurred on the E6 at Stenungsundsmotet. Several cars, a bus, and a hamburger restaurant were pulled into the hole, and a total of three people had to be taken to the hospital.

A police investigation into public dangerous negligence, serious crime is ongoing. It is still unclear what triggered the landslide, which affects an area of 700 by 200 meters.

However, the site is still considered dangerous, and new landslides cannot be ruled out. The area has therefore been cordoned off since the accident, and access has been prohibited since Tuesday.

Something that neither young people nor adults respect, according to security guards on-site.

– There are several Tiktok clips where you can see that young people have entered the area and filmed. They get over the fence and play reporters. Everything seems to be about getting as many likes as possible, says Paolo Johansson, security guard at Q Security who guards the place.

Even adults get in

He and his colleagues have on several occasions had to ask the young people to leave the area and also chase after them inside the accident scene.

– We were inside to try to find a person who had got in, but he managed to get out afterward. We never caught him.

Paolo Johansson notes, however, that it is not only young people but also adults who do not respect the barriers that are set up as fences.

– Photographers and reporters have also been inside. You among others.

Paolo Johansson and his colleagues have passed on information and video clips to the police in the hope of putting an end to the smuggling.

Something that is confirmed by the police’s preliminary investigation manager Stefan Larsson.

– We are aware that there is a problem with this at the site. However, it is nothing that complicates the police investigation, but it is, of course, associated with a risk for those who do it.

Associated with danger to life

Paolo Johansson has his own thesis about why people, despite the calls, continue to defy the ban.

– Curiosity. People are very curious. We are the ones who work here too, but we still stay outside the barriers.

What are you doing to fix the problem?

– We have to deploy more surveillance in the areas where we have seen them enter, as well as look for more gaps in the area. Anything to keep them away.

– Since it is associated with a life-threatening situation to enter the area, I hope that people will now use their common sense and not enter the area. As things settle down here, the blockades will be released. But in the meantime, it is important not to enter and disturb or endanger those who work there.
