According to the decision of the CNE, the former presidential candidate who reached the second round with the current president Gustavo Petro has at least three serious sanctions before the Attorney General’s Office: one for hitting a Councilor, another for alleged job persecution of Wilson Motta, and one last for verbally attacking a citizen observer.
All of these disciplinary offenses were committed during his time as Mayor of Bucaramanga, an administration that is also being investigated for corruption issues.
With his message that “he will use legal means”, it is understood that Hernández will file the appeal for reconsideration which, according to Colombian legislation, must be resolved in three business days.
