ASUS continues to add new 40 series models based on the new architecture of NVIDIA: THERE’S LOVELACE . And it is on this occasion that the new DUAL GRFORCE RTX 4060 OC comes into our hands, which focuses on serving the mid-range market whose objective is the price/performance balance.

As we already saw from the packaging, the design is the same, based on sober colors and a compact size heatsink.
On this occasion, as the name “Dual” indicates, it comes with 2 Axial-tec design fans, in order to have better air pressure.
In a rear view we see the presence of a backplate that covers the entire length of the card and the extent of the dissipation.
Turned from the side we can see that at least we need to leave 3 slots in our case and motherboard to accommodate the video card and also that it comes with the classic 8-pin connector for power.
An almost standard detail is the switch that offers us to use the 2 available BIOSes: Performance (Optimize performance and temperatures over noise) and Quiet (Lower noise and slightly higher temperatures).
In terms of connectivity we find the classic: 3 Display Port 1.4 ports and 1 HDMI 2.1 port. And as we said, although it only has 2 slots, it is necessary to leave at least 3 for everything to fit.
Disassembling the cooling system, you can see the large heat sink of this card and the components that make it up.
The core of this cooling system is made up of 4 Heatpipes and a copper contact base.
The PCB is small, and not very dense in the GPU area, everything is organized in the surroundings.
The back of the card is also very clean, just some electrical regulation elements for the GPU mostly.

While it is true that at the time of its launch the RTX 4060 was not received in the best way by gamers, it is no less true that over the months it has become one of the best sellers in our market. With an average price of 370 USD, it takes the place previously held by an RTX 3060 but with lower consumption and slightly more performance.
And since we are talking about the advantages or innovations, it is also interesting to comment that since it is based on the architecture of this new 40 series, we can enjoy DLSS3, AV1 and Ray Tracing, which little by little we see how these technologies have been implemented more in commonly used programs or games.
