Indian team led by Savita- Dinamani

New Delhi: The 18-member Indian squad for the Asian Cup Hockey Tournament led by Savita was announced on Wednesday.

The 16-member team will play in the Tokyo Olympics. Savita is the captain of the team as the team’s regular captain Rani Rampal is recovering from injury. Deep Grace Iga has been appointed as his vice-captain. Deepika and Ishika Chaudhary have been added as replacements.

The Asian Cup will be held in Oman from the 21st to the 28th of this month. The top 4 teams will qualify for the World Cup. The reigning champions India will face Malaysia in the first match on the 21st. It then faces Japan (Jan.23) and Singapore (Jan.24).
