The eleven sparkling wine cellars grouped under the Corpinnat brand have demanded that the Generalitat give them the same treatment as it gives to the denominations of origin. Reaching the same rank as the DOs would allow them to have a place in the meetings held by the denominations with the Catalan administration and would facilitate their access to subsidies. “We are a collective brand of the European Union, we are not a group of friends who have come together to have a party”, claimed this Thursday evening the president of Corpinnat, Ton Mata (of the Recaredo winery). He recalled that the trademark regulation has been approved in Europe and that the corresponding audits are being carried out.
