Star Wars: KOTOR (Knights of the Old Republic) was going to return in the form of a remake from Aspyr Media, together with Lucasfilm Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was an extremely ambitious project as it brought back one of the most beloved games in the franchise created by George Lucas.

However, the project began to have serious questions, especially because we stopped having news about it, and only a teaser was published. According to multiple reports, Aspyr had problems working on the game, which led Embracer Group, owners of the studio, to decide to hand over the project to Saber Interactive. However, none of the studies have made an official statement on the matter.

It seems that things are not going as they would like, since from Twitter they discovered that the first – and only – trailer for Star Wars: KOTOR was removed from the famous social network, while on YouTube they made said material private.

This only seems to confirm that we will not see any news in this regard in the coming months. Perhaps it was too early to have announced it or the size of the project was too much for Aspyr, who have become known in the industry mainly for working on remasters of Star Wars games, and will soon release the remaster of the classic Tomb Raider trilogy.
