Paris Fashion Week – Embarrassing moment on the catwalk: model staggers into the audience

What a misfortune! Even though Christian Cowan’s fashion show wasn’t an official part of Paris Fashion Week, it’s causing quite a stir right now.

But not because of the British designer’s extravagant glam rock costumes, but because of an embarrassing incident.

Cowan, who has a penchant for expansive designs, took things too far this time. He sent a huge black plush ball down the Paris runway, in which the model completely disappeared except for her legs. Apparently no peepholes had been drilled into the round fuzzy ball, so the poor model staggered along the catwalk completely blind and quickly lost her way. First it rammed a small roundel on which the singer Sam Smith was performing, then it ran into the audience.

Although front row guests pushed her back onto the runway, the model didn’t make it all the way and ended up sinking to the floor. The members of the team finally led the ball on two legs out of the hall – or rather out of the nave, because the show took place in the Cathédrale américaine de Paris. God, help!
