A new documentary, called “In the Corridors of the Presidential Campaign,” aired on the popular French news channel BFM and revealed extraordinary information about France’s first lady’s relationship. According to the film, Brigitte Macron, the wife of French President Emmanuel Macron, received a surprising phone call that revealed: “Your husband is gay and he is now with his lover.”
French political commentator Nicholas Prizeta prepared the documentary on the presidency with the aim of exposing scandalous rumors about the couple’s personal lives. Some claims have even insisted that the president is so hidden in the closet that even Brigitte is actually a transgender woman born as a man. As part of the film, Prizeta interviewed the first lady who explained: “Do you understand what people dare to say? They will not spare us anything. I am sad and shocked to hear such a thing but we will move on.”
The film, which follows the presidential couple, is basically meant to expose the difficulty and harsh reactions that candidates get on the way to the position. The Macron couple first met in 1993, when the president was 15 and studying in the 39-year-old Brigitte literature class. Later in their acquaintance Brigitte divorced her husband, with whom she shares three children, in favor of Macron, who is 24 years her junior. The age gap between the two has always been a problem, especially since their relationship began when Macron was still a schoolboy. Despite all the difficulties, the couple survived the crises and managed to stay together. The Macron couple eventually married at a resort on the shores of the La Tuca Canal in 2007 and have been living together in the shadow of the cruel rumors ever since.
