Kozhikode
The conference re-elected P Mohanan as the CPI (M) Kozhikode district secretary. A 45-member district committee and 38 state assembly representatives were elected. A 12-member secretariat was also formed.
State committee member P Mohanan (67) is becoming the district secretary for the third time. He became the first district secretary in 2015 at the Vadakara Conference. The 2018 conference continued. Mohanan, who was jailed for 673 days in a fake case for political revenge in the TP Chandrasekharan incident, has been acquitted and released.
He was a member of the District Council and the President of the District Panchayat. Served as DYFI District Secretary and State Vice President. He is a member of the All India Committee of the Agricultural Workers Union. His wife is KK Lathika, a member of the Kozhikode District Secretariat and State Vice President of the Mahila Association. Children: Julius Nikidas and Julius Mirshad. Son-in-law: Sanio, Dr. Sculpture.
