Disappearance of Lina: three suspicious car owners targeted by the investigation

In its seventh and eighth day, the investigation into the disappearance of Lina, 15, focused on around ten owners of dark-colored Renault Clio cars domiciled in Plaine (Bas-Rhin) and the surrounding area. . This verification operation was triggered following testimony attesting to the presence on Saturday September 23 late in the morning of a similar vehicle traveling on the section of departmental road where the young girl was seen for the last time.

Would Lina have boarded, voluntarily or not, before being kidnapped and quickly losing control of her phone which stopped transmitting at 11:22 a.m. that day?

Inspection and genetic samples

After a first phase carried out on Friday, the gendarmes of the Strasbourg research section accompanied by criminal identification technicians continued their mission of inspection and genetic sampling around and on board the last three cars listed this Saturday. One of them belongs to a music teacher in his forties, as revealed by Paris Match.

Living in a hamlet of around fifty houses located outside the town of Plaine, this man could have been present not far from the scene of the young girl’s disappearance on the day she disappeared. His Clio and another car that may belong to him were seized for analysis and his home was also searched. These operations took place throughout the day on Saturday and were only completed in the early evening. Pending the results of the genetic expertise, however, there is currently no evidence to support the hypothesis of the involvement of this person.

Investigations must now continue within a broader legal framework.
