This Friday (29), the president underwent total hip arthroplasty surgery on the right and also by blepharoplasty, a procedure to remove wrinkled skin from the eyelids.

At a press conference on Friday night, Lula’s medical team reported that the hip surgery had been successful. The president had osteoarthritis in the head of the femur of his right hip, a wear and tear on the cartilage that covers the joints, and had been complaining of severe pain in recent months.
