On the fact of the murder of a five-year-old girl in Kostroma, a second criminal case has been initiated under the article of negligence, the head of the Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin, told RIA Novosti.
“Another criminal case has been initiated – on grounds of negligence in the actions of officials of the city police department No. 2, who, according to the investigation, improperly exercised the administrative supervision established by the court for the released convict,” he said.
The murder took place on January 4th. The girl went for a walk on Severnaya Pravda Street in Kostroma, where she was abducted by two men, one of whom had been previously convicted. They fled in an unknown direction. Later, the child’s body was found in a room in one of the city’s dormitories.
As reported by the “Notepad” edition, the moment when the men took the girl was caught by CCTV cameras, but this did not help to find the child. The missing girl was searched for by investigators, police officers and volunteers from the Lisa Alert detachment.
