RE/SISTERS
A large group exhibition that explores the relationships between gender and ecology, highlighting the systemic links between the oppression of women and the destruction of the planet.
With the work of fifty women and gender non-conforming artists, RES7SISTERS shows the work of emerging and established artists on the international scene, who work in photography and audiovisual.
The works explore how women’s understanding of the environment has often resisted the logic of capitalist economies that put the exploitation of the planet at the center of their objectives. It presents works of an active nature that show how women have taken a step forward to take care of the planet.
Reflecting on issues such as extractive industries and care policies, RE/SISTERS investigates environmental and gender justice as indivisible parts of a global struggle.
