The general meeting of the Jaffna District Local Government Association of Women Members and the election of a new administration was held yesterday.
In this new administrative election, which was conducted to include all 17 local councils in the district
Mrs. Anushya Jayakand, Member of the Velanai Pradeshiya Sabha has been elected as the new President of the Association.
Mrs. Jayakanthan Dwaraka, Member of the Western Pradeshiya Sabha, Vali has been appointed as the new Secretary of the Association.
Chavakachcheri Municipal Councilor Mrs. Dayalarajan Paulina Subojini has also been elected as the Treasurer.
Nallur Pradeshiya Sabha member Mrs. Kaushalya Siva was also elected as the Vice President of the association.
Mrs. Chandrakumar Anusia, Member of the Jaffna Municipal Council has also been elected as the Deputy Secretary.
