Aina Vidal: “ERC and Junts are acting irresponsibly right now”

The deputy of Sumar Aina Vidal gave an interview this Monday in The Hour of 1, on TVE: “The will and the numbers are enough for an investiture of Pedro Sánchez. We have already wasted enough time, now what we have to do is the investiture of a progressive Government,” says Vidal after the failed investiture of the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. Asked if PSOE and Sumar have already achieved the support of other political forces, Vidal acknowledged that “many aspects of the negotiation are still missing.” “They are moving forward calmly, serenely, and we continue to take steps towards the normalization of politics between Catalonia and the rest of the State,” she said.

Regarding the positions of ERC and Junts, which have been calling for a referendum to be held during this legislature for days, Vidal said: “I think we have to recognize that ERC and Junts are acting right now, at least behind closed doors, in a way irresponsible. Not only because of what it implies in terms of destabilization of the negotiation, which is true that is what worries me the least, but above all because of the message they are sending to Spain and Catalonia.
