He FC Barcelona announced this Monday that he will take legal action against the former commissioner Jose Manuel Villarejoafter he revealed in an interview that it was “people from around” John Laporta who gave “the information about (the former president) Sandro Rosell“, which led to his imprisonment for 22 months.
In a statement to RAC1, Villarejo commented that he thinks he remembers that it was “the people around the president who had fired him (Laporta)” who leaked Rosell’s information.
The Barça club considers that this information is “totally false” and Laporta will take legal action against the former commissioner.

In the interview, Villarejo referred to Rosell’s preventive detention: “Although he is not a politician, there are three kinds of enemies in politics: the furious, the bloodthirsty and the party comrade” and assured: “In the case of Mr. Rosell, it was Laporta who gave us the information about Sandro Rosell.”
He also related the fact to the figure of Xavier Martorellwho was “responsible for Barcelona’s security and partner in a detective firm that continues to work with the National Intelligence Center (CNI).”
