This Monday night, lightning struck a green gas tank at a recycling plant. Food waste in Oxford (United Kingdom), causing a large explosion and a ball of fire.
The company that owns the plant, Severn Trent Power, has assured on its profile on the social network Facebook that there have been no deaths or injuries, according to Europa Press.
This afternoon a biodigester at our Cassington facilities, near Yarnton, in the Oxford region, was struck by lightning which caused an explosion in our green gas tanks, the company announced.

In addition, several videos shared on social networks show a large fireball as a result of the fire, to which 40 firefighters in six units attended, according to the British channel BBC.
The Police, for their part, have urged residents of the area to remain in their homes with the windows and doors closed, and have asked not to go to the scene.
