She was already accused of raping a student. A teacher from the town of Covington, in the state of Tennessee (United States) was arrested again on Friday by local police and accused of harassing another student, a witness in the case for which she is being prosecuted, reports the local police in a press release.

Alissa McCommon, 38, has been prosecuted since September 8 for rape of a minor as well as “inappropriate sexual behavior” towards several of her minor students. She had been suspended from her duties by her establishment. She was released on bail of 25,000 dollars (around 24,000 euros) and under judicial supervision after her arrest, but she is prohibited from any contact with the victims or minors, with the exception of her own children.

A new arrest for “harassment”

Several minor students thus reported having initially had “friendly” relations with the teacher, who played video games with them and then chatted with them on social networks. These discussions would have led her to send naked photos to at least one student, as well as to ask him to have sexual relations with her, detailed the police de Covington at the time of the suspect’s arrest.

Her new arrest on Friday follows telephone contacts that she allegedly had with several victims and former students, using “secret codes” previously used to ensure that minors were alone to send them photos of a sexual nature. In an SMS sent to one of them via a hidden number, she says that he will “regret what he does” by accusing her. She is therefore now also being prosecuted for witness tampering and aggravated harassment.

Faced with the charges against her, she was transferred to the Tipton County Jail without the possibility of release on bail, pending a judgment in the local court.
