Arrival of the quinté: 1 – 2 – 6 – 9 – 5
Under the eyes of Stéphane Le Foll, mayor of Le Mans, Matthieu Abrivard put on a show on Gaspar de Brion’s sulky (n° 1). Considered one of the best geldings in France, the 7-year-old competitor had not crossed the post in the lead since February. “I’m really happy with this victory,” said his trainer-driver. Changing track was beneficial for him so I think I will continue on this path. I had an ideal course, which allowed him to sprint superbly to finish. »

Constantly seen among the first, Fakir de Mahey (n° 2), once again up to the task, was courageous to maintain second place at the expense of Gitano (n° 6), who constantly followed him. Despite a thick course, Izoard Védaquais (n° 9) behaved remarkably and was the only competitor at the finish to have started at the second level. The resident of Philippe Allaire is thus ahead of Goéland d’Haufor (n° 5).
