The Boca women’s team is already in Colombia to begin its dream of the Copa Libertadores again. The team from Florencia Quiñones from Cordoba will seek revenge after the final of the previous edition, where they lost 4 to 1 with Palmeiras.
The Xeneizes are part of Group D of the competition, and will debut with América de Cali on October 6 at 7:30 p.m. Then on October 9 at 5:00 p.m. they will play against Nacional from Uruguay and it will end on October 12 at 7:30 p.m. with Internacional de Porto Alegre.
Last year Boca became champion of the YPF Women’s Tournament where they defeated UAI Urquiza 2-1 in La Bombonera. This gave him the ticket to play in the Libertadores.
In the 2023 edition, three Brazilian teams, three Colombian, two Chilean, two Paraguayan, one Peruvian, one Bolivian, one Ecuadorian, one Venezuelan, one Argentine and one Uruguayan will participate.
The first two from each zone qualify for the quarterfinals, which are played in a single match, as well as the semifinal and final. Boca brought a delegation of 20 players, without Cordobans but with the ex-Belgrano Amancay Urbani.

The female Libertadores awards
As established by Conmebol, for this edition of the Copa Libertadores Femenina a total prize pool of $3,350,000 million dollars will be awarded, divided as follows:
– Prize for participation: USD $50,000 per team ($209,813,500 million Colombian pesos)
– Prize for third place: USD $250,000 ($1,049,067,500 million Colombian pesos)
– Runner-up: USD $600,000 ($2,517,762,000 million Colombian pesos)
– Champion: USD $1,700,000 ($7,133,659,000 million Colombian pesos)
In order to encourage and promote the development of women’s football throughout the continent, Conmebol made a fairly considerable increase in awards compared to 2022. For this edition the increase was 68%, to encourage clubs to execute sporting processes top-notch professionals.
