On September 27, the Azerbaijani media spread the news that many were waiting for after the anti-terrorism measures carried out in Karabakh – the provocateur Ruben Vardanyan, who illegally settled in the territory of our country and contributed to Armenian terror in Azerbaijan, was detained.

Later, a preventive measure was chosen against him in the form of detention for 4 months. The Sabail District Court considered the presentation of the Investigation Department of the State Security Service of Azerbaijan in relation to Vardanyan, who held the “position” of the so-called “minister of state” of the separatist regime. At the trial, chaired by Judge Ulviya Shukurova, the proposal was granted.

Significant suspicions were established of committing criminal acts under Articles 214-1 (financing terrorism), 279.3 (participation in the creation and activities of armed formations or groups not provided for by law) and 318.1 (illegal crossing of the state border of the Azerbaijan Republic) of the Criminal Code of the Azerbaijan Republic.

That is, Vardanyan will get what he deserves. After all, Baku warned, said – leave. Rubik did not listen. Now it’s time, as they say, to take the rap and there will be no mercy.

All of the above charges are serious crimes and all those responsible, including Arayik Harutyunyan, Bako Sahakyan, Arkady Ghukasyan and others will be tried to the fullest extent of the laws of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

However, some of Rubik’s “friends” in Russia decided to try to secure his release.

As RBC reports, Russian cultural, scientific and educational figures signed an open letter for Vardanyan’s release. The authors of the appeal note that the Armenian oligarch allegedly “always opposed violence and for equal dialogue even in cases where hostility seems irreconcilable.”

“We appeal to everyone who has the power to achieve the release of Ruben Vardanyan. We urge him to be given the opportunity to reunite with his family and return to creative work for the benefit of people,” the letter says.

In total, the appeal was signed by 22 people. Among them are the former head of the presidential administration, and now the chairman of the board of directors of the Moscow School of Management, Alexander Voloshin, writers Evgeny Vodolazkin and Alla Gerber, businessmen Mikhail Kusnirovich and Mark Kurtser, directors Pavel Lungin and Alexander Sokurov, Natalia Solzhenitsyna, founder of the Vera hospice fund Nyuta Federmesser, choreographer Boris Eifman, former director of the State Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin Marina Loshak, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University Alexander Auzan and others.

It is obvious that all these unknown persons are sitting on Vardanyan’s feeding trough and working off their salaries.

They appeal to everyone who has the power to achieve liberation…

To whom?

Russia? They clearly said that Rubik is not a citizen of the Russian Federation. There was no need to refuse and abandon his “second homeland” after he had earned his millions at its expense.

To France? Did you want to put pressure on Azerbaijan? Oh well. No one can influence the decisions and actions of Baku, because we are not Armenia, which bows to any new master. Our position, as an independent and strong country, is clear – all bandits will be punished for all crimes.

The gang of public figures fueled by the Armenian oligarch should have realized that the days when Vardanyan fed with his handouts are over. They will be able to receive salaries for this “open letter” in 14 years, when Rubik has served his entire sentence. And it is still unknown what will happen to his wealth by that time, which could at any moment fall under Western sanctions.

Arrest of persons indicated in a criminal case initiated by the relevant articles of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan on facts of aggression against Azerbaijan, promotion of separatism, terrorist acts, commission of military and other grave crimes against peace and humanity, war and other grave crimes against military personnel and civilians in captivity, and other facts, serves to restore justice and questioning the legitimacy of these steps is unacceptable.

It’s better to find something better to do, for example, to do your own work directly, and not to meddle in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan, because Vardanyan’s skin cannot be saved – he signed his own death sentence by ignoring Baku’s warnings.
