Idukki | Two accused in the murder case of SFI activist Dheeraj Rajendran at Idukki Engineering College have surrendered to the police today. KSU Idukki constituency president Tony Thekkilakkad and Idukki district secretary Jithin Uppumakkal surrendered at the Kulamavu police station. Police have received a statement that Tony stabbed Abhijit, who is undergoing treatment for his injuries. It is learned that the arrest of both the accused will be recorded tomorrow.
Meanwhile, police have filed an application to remand Nikhil Pyle and Jerin JoJo, the main accused in the case, for further questioning. Both have been remanded in custody for 10 days. The bail application of the accused, who was postponed due to non-submission of police report, will be considered tomorrow.
