A young man was found shot in Brandbergen during the night towards Thursday.

About half an hour later, two suspects were arrested in a taxi in another part of the Stockholm area.

The police were alerted to the shooting at 01:01. On-site in Brandbergen in Haninge municipality, a 25-year-old man was found injured near an apartment building.

– He was taken by ambulance to the hospital and was then awake and able to speak, says Mats Eriksson, press spokesperson at the police.

Two men, both in their 20s, have been arrested and are suspected of attempted murder.

They were stopped at 01:38 in a taxi, north of Stockholm, after the police examined surveillance cameras and questioned witnesses. The taxi has been impounded for technical examination, and the driver has been brought in for questioning.
