Joe Jonas, member of the famous Jonas Brothers band, was spotted leaving his first mediation session just two hours after his estranged wife, Sophie Turner. Exclusive photos obtained by Page Six captured the couple as they navigated the tense proceedings of their ongoing divorce battle.
In the photos, Jonas is seen exiting the meeting in New York City through a service driveway at around 8 p.m. on Wednesday. The singer, who spent a total of 10 hours at the office building, appeared downcast as he sat in the backseat of a black SUV. Meanwhile, Turner was pictured leaving through the main entrance at approximately 6 p.m., looking equally exhausted after a long day of divorce proceedings and parenting plan discussions.
Turner, dressed in a casual outfit consisting of jeans, a white T-shirt, and a green cable knit cardigan, kept her long hair down and opted for minimal makeup. Earlier in the day, she was seen leaving Taylor Swift’s luxurious Tribeca apartment, where she and her two daughters have been staying, accompanied by her lawyer.
This is only the first day of the four-day mediation process for the estranged couple. Sources revealed that Jonas is committed to making things work with Turner during mediation and is eager to find a fair agreement on custody arrangements for their two daughters, Willa (3) and Delphine (1).
Last month, Jonas filed for divorce from the English actress, sparking a legal battle over custody and the return of their children to England. Turner accused Jonas of withholding their daughters’ passports, preventing her from taking them back to their agreed-upon “forever home.” However, Jonas denied the accusations, and the couple has agreed to keep their daughters in New York City until their custody battle is resolved.
