The average global temperature, since January 2023, is the hottest ever recorded in the first nine months of a year – that is, 1.4°C higher compared to the pre-industrial era (1850-1900). The data were released in the monthly report of the European Copernicus Observatory, published this Thursday (5). Last month was the hottest September in the world since temperature records began.
