“Rome, holy and damned” is a journey into the Roman night, where Roberto D’Agostino, the creator of ‘Dagospia’, tells his friend Marco Giusti why God invented a city with the devil next to it. As darkness falls, Dago & Giusti – filmed by director Daniele Ciprì – sail on the Tiber, wander through alleys and ruins, meet characters and ghosts (Verdone, Luxuria, Sandra Milo, Giorgio Assumma, Enrico Vanzina, Massimo Ceccherini, Vera Gemma, Carmelo of Ianni), because it is at night that the story of secrets and mysteries, facts and deeds, between ferocious jokes and chattering cynicism, prevails.

It is the night that best describes Rome, which is a city like the electric chair is a chair. And if there is anyone who can describe a place that Fellini defined as “an immense cemetery teeming with life”, it is Roberto D’Agostino. The docu-film will be presented at the Rome Film Festival on October 27th.
