London: Buckingham Palace overthrows Prince Andrew, son of the British Queen. Such an order was issued by Queen Elizabeth. The move by the British royal family follows the ruling that Andrew should face trial in a sexual assault case in the United States.

Andrew is the second son of Queen Elizabeth. “With the consent of the Queen, all the military and royal rights of the Duke of New York (Andrew’s royalty) were taken back,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement. The statement said he would no longer hold any royal office and would face his case as a private individual.

Andrew has been sentenced by a Virginia court to life in prison on charges of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old American prince who was arrested on a charge of sexual assault and later died in prison on the orders of Jeffrey Epstein.

British police said last October that they had examined the details of the relationship between Epstein and Prince Andrew and decided that no action was needed on the complaint.

But in the United States, the civil case filed by Virginia survived. Andrew’s appeal was rejected by a U.S. court yesterday. Following this, the court allowed Virgina to proceed with the case.
