Man in his 40s and 35-year-old resident killed in hit-and-run accident near Odim intersection

In a tragic incident that occurred this morning near the Odim intersection, two people lost their lives in a horrific hit-and-run accident. Eyal Yehuda, a man in his 40s, and Maor Moshe, a 35-year-old resident of Netanya, were the unfortunate victims. The driver suspected of causing this fatal accident fled the scene but was later apprehended and arrested in Netanya.

Eyal Yehuda, a father and an ex-husband, is survived by his children. His funeral is scheduled to take place on Sunday. Devastated by the loss, Mittal Ben Torah, his ex-wife, paid tribute to him, describing him as an amazing father. She expressed her deep sorrow, saying, “How can you contain such a loss at such a young age? My heart aches.”

Maor Moshe, known for his hospitality and generosity, also fell victim to the hit-and-run incident. His close friend, Hasadi, eulogized him, highlighting his selflessness and desire to help others. Hasadi shared, “He was hospitable – generous and helped a lot of people. He really wanted to get married.”

Valerie, Moshe’s cousin, spoke highly of him, describing him as someone with a huge soul and a heart of gold. She remarked, “He was giving, had a heart of gold, loved to give to everyone, even to people he didn’t know.” Valerie expressed the shock and pain felt by the family, stating, “We are now hurt, shocked, and don’t know what to do. We are all crushed – he was like my real little brother.”

The driver responsible for the fatal incident initially abandoned his vehicle after the accident. He then took advantage of a truck whose driver had stopped to assist the injured and fled the scene. However, he was later apprehended and arrested in Netanya. The police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of the accident, reviewing documentation and witness accounts.

Shockingly, another hit-and-run accident occurred yesterday in Netanya, resulting in the death of a man who was critically injured. The victim, whose name has not been released, was admitted to Billinson Hospital where medical professionals fought hard to save his life. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries today.

The suspect in this second hit-and-run incident, a resident of Ramat Gan in his 50s, was taken into custody a few hours after the accident. The authorities have prolonged his detention, continuing their investigation into the case.

These tragic incidents have shaken the local community, leaving behind grieving families and friends mourning the loss of their loved ones. As the investigations progress, the hope is that justice will be served, bringing solace to those affected by these devastating hit-and-run accidents.
