Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya, FGC, has begun the activities of the Teaching Train, a pedagogical program aimed at students of all educational cycles, which works on the importance of using public transport and disseminating the rules of civility and safety.

The activities of the Teaching Train have included guided visits to different FGC facilities, among which are the stations of the Barcelona-Valls and Llobregat-Anoia lines, the Vallvidrera Funicular, the Rubo Operative Center, the Interpretation of the Martorell Railway. The objective of this initiative, aimed at students of all educational cycles, is to promote knowledge of the railway and promote it as a sustainable means of transport and as a space for citizen coexistence.
Furthermore, with this project FGC collaborates with teaching professionals in their work, helping them in their activities and providing teaching materials related to public transport. To date, more than 23,800 students have participated in the last seven editions of this special train, 2,700 of them during the 2022-2023 academic year.
