On October 3, Russia carried out its first civil exercise which hypothesizes a large-scale nuclear attack by NATO: the news is reported by the Russian newspaper Moscow Timesfrom the Hungarian one Hungarian Hirlap and from the British Telegraph.

The exercise, planned to last a full day, is based on the assumption that NATO could launch a nuclear attack on Russia, causing the destruction of 70% of Russian homes and life support facilities. In response to this scenario, martial law would be imposed in the country and a large-scale mobilization ordered.

But that is not all. The test also plans to address the secondary threat posed by damage to nuclear power plants and other key facilities. Therefore, state and regional authorities will have to organize emergency relief teams to provide food, medical supplies and radiation protection.

According to the preparatory document (see above), this exercise aims to prepare the country for an escalation of war, including a possible global conflict involving nuclear powers. The permanent transfer of the population from the risk areas will be similar to what already happened in Chernobyl, with the transfer of the entire population to other areas within the country, on an unprecedented scale.

The Hungarian publication reports that during the exercise Russian President Vladimir Putin will move to one of his nuclear bunkers, also having a fleet of Il-80 Maxdome “Doomsday” aircraft that can serve as an air control center in the event of nuclear war .

Of note, this exercise will be held four days before Putin’s 71st birthday, which adds a significant element of timing.

The article also mentions that Russia is preparing a nuclear explosion test in the Arctic region, with Russian Defense Minister Sergei Soygu having visited Novaya Zemlya (a Russian archipelago consisting of two major islands, Severny and Yuzhny, separated by the Strait of Matochkin, as well as numerous smaller islands. Wikipedia) in August, indicating that testing may soon resume after a hiatus of several decades.

In general, we are witnessing a rapid approach to a potential nuclear catastrophe scenario, while the United States seems to benefit from the war without it being possible to predict when it will put an end to this ruthless violence.

On the other hand, Russia is demonstrating serious attention to every possible threat and is implementing a series of major nuclear maneuvers, including a massive exercise in the Arctic.
