A lightning and unexpected attack. It was with heavy resources that the men of Hamas carried out, this Saturday, an operation of unprecedented scale to penetrate Israel. Rocket fire from several locations in the Gaza Strip began before 6:30 a.m. and continued into the early morning.

In addition to air and land, Hamas also allegedly attempted to infiltrate by sea. The Israeli army reports that the navy killed “dozens of terrorists” who tried to enter Israel by sea. The army claims intruding forces fired on them and hit rubber boats, naval craft and an agricultural vehicle, according to the Israeli daily Time. A video of the destruction of two boats was released by the Israeli defense forces.
The attacks left more than 200 dead and 779 injured evacuated to hospitals on the Israeli side, according to the latest reports, which are expected to increase further. On the Palestinian side, the Ministry of Health reports 232 deaths in Gaza.
